  • Pack Moth Brown on top of Blitz N Glitz Fluidline (or Macroviolet) & blend like your life depends on it. One of the prettiest, most complex (but, secretly really easy) smoky eyes.
  • Apply a small amount of Blitz & Glitz Fluidline as a base to inner lid, w/ 242 brush, being careful to carry over PAST the pupil of the eye toward outer corner. With the same brush (wiped off) apply Macroviolet on outer third of lid, carrying it up toward outer brow end & about 1/4 inch or so above the crease, fading as you get past the midpoint of the eye (where your pupil center is when you are looking straight ahead). Blend well so edges meld nicely. Apply the grey from Earthly Riches w/ the 239 brush over the B&G FL blending well. If you do this BEFORE the FL sets, it will stay on even better. Apply the violet from Earthly Riches, where the Macroviolet is & blend well. Blend Frostlite FL as a highlight under the brow & over the edges of the Macroviolet/Earthly Riches area. Use a 217 brush w/ Fairylite or Vanilla Pigment, windshield wiper style, & apply as a highlighter- making sure to blend all edges. Line w/ Macroviolet or Blitz & Glitz FL.

mauvism paint
  • I use Mauvism alot w/ Chartru. I do a wash of Chartru up to the crease & then blend in Mauvism up to the brow. Then I line the bottom set of lashes w/ a lite green pencil.
  • Stilife is so neutral that I use it as a base & put the Mauvism in the crease, blending up to brow. Highlight w/ NARS Night Star.
  • Mauvism as a wash, Taupeless to crease, Shadowy Lady on outer >, Macroviolet to line, Lovely Lily inner crease. Coygirl & Petticoat on cheeks, Plum Lipliner, Body Suit & Bare Fetish.
  • Mauvism Paint all over top lid & use it to line bottom & inner corners then use Violet pigment over the top lid into the crease & outer 1/2 of bottom lid, follow w/ black liner on upper lid & inner rims (top & bottom) & finish w/ a couple coats of mascara. It won't look smoky unless you do top & bottom lids & use liner in inner rims.

  • Mauvisim from lash line to above crease, Heirloom Kohl applied to upper lash line & topped w/ Flirty Number.
  • I started w/ Digit as a wash, lightly over the whole lid. Then I lined my upper lash line w/ Dark Soul. When it's wet, it's an amazing color!- like a metallic graphite! Dark Soul to the crease & outer corner & blended very well to bring the Dark Soul down over the lid. It was heaviest in the crease, then very gradually blended towards the lash line do you could still see the Digit.Then I mixed Mauvism paint w/ Frost pigment, which made a very pale lavender frosty cream shadow. I used that on the upper brow bones!
  • Silver Dusk, Pink Swoon Blush, Mauvism Paint, Kool CCB, Ola Viola liner, Parfait Amour, Digit, Purple Haze & Nico l/g.
  • Mauvism Paint w/ Flirty Number over it.
  • Digit as a wash, lightly over the whole lid, wet a slanted brush & use it to line upper lash line w/ Dark Soul. (When it's wet, it's an amazing color!- like a metalic graphite!) Use a dry crease brush to apply Dark Soul to the crease & outer corner & blend very well to bring the Dark Soul down over the lid. Heaviest in the crease, then very gradually blended towards the lash line so you still see Digit.

Moth Brown & Sketch are different textures, & are both brown based w/ a hint of purple. That is what made it look so complex. Sketch is IDEAL for smoky eyes on brown eyed girls. You get a dark brown smoky effect and it seems to have a purple sheen.

  • Teddy Kohl on the lid ... starting in a thin line on the inner lash line & thicker as it went out. Smudge it in that same direction, keeping it thinner on the inside, thicker on the outside. Use Motif lightly on top of it, & to highlight all the way up to the brow bone!
  • Motif, is a duochromatic shade that can slightly alter shades that are layered above or below it. Brush on a wash of Motif, blend in some Sushi Flower to contour, w/ just a pinch of Sable over that, that's how I got that coppery shade.

  • Honesty/Mulch, Honey Lust/Bronze, Mulch/Black Tied, Mulch/Tempting.I used MAC Cream Colour Base in Dusk for a base. Then I packed on the first color mentioned onto the lid area w/ MAC brush #213. I then applied the second color mentioned onto the outer 1/3 of the eye area w/ MAC brush #224. I use the 224 brush to blend the colors together where they meet, & use a windshield-wiper motion to sweep the shadow back & forth along & the crease to blend it, winging it out slightly at the outer corners yet following along my natural eye shape. For some of them (especially in the last pic), I used a small brush like MAC #228 & swept the darker color along the lower lash line, then blended it w/ a q-tip or my finger. I lined w/ black liner & toppped off w/ black mascara. You could even do this look w/ just one e/s color, but blending is key no matter how you do it!

  • The three colors she used were Mylar, Mulch & Beauty Marked. Dont laugh! Im telling you it works. The trick is to blend the black & the bronze so you cant really see either one on its own. She lined my eyes w/ Smolder pencil first. She applied Mylar all over from lash line to brow bone as kind of a base. Then she took Beauty Marked & applied it to the lid. She started really slowly & kept building & blending until the desired effect was reached (you can definitely vary this if you want & go really light or really dramatic). Next she took Mulch & applied it in the crease kind of heavy. Then she took a big fluffy brush & blended & blended, & blended, & blended until everything was super blurred. She topped it off w/ another dose of Mylar on the brow bone & a light lining again w/ Smolder.

Satin Taupe, on all but the darkest skintones (where the silvery mica goes ashy), is the loveliest, deep smoky-earthy transition shade between a clean highlighter & a dramatic lid color.

She recreated the look on me but used Vanilla e/s as a base on me (since I am lighter, NC20) It was very striking, but use Mythology sparingly & blend well.
